Installation
What are the requirements to run the Installation?
There are several requirements to run the setup for the FIN48 Software.
- Administrative Rights: Users need to log on to their computers with Administrative level privileges during an installation. Failing to do so may result in errors during installation or when running the application. You can verify your account level by going to Control Panel>User Accounts.
- Windows Installer: Users need a minimum version of Windows Installer 3.1 (KB893803) on their computers.
- Operating System: Users must be running Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Windows 7.
We will have multiple users working with the system. Can I install the software to a network?
The software cannot be installed to a network location. The software must be installed locally for every user of the system. However, multiuser access to user datafiles is supported allowing several users to work with the same data simultaneously.
How do I receive updates for the FIN48 software?
Software updates are provided through an integrated automatic update. When a new update is available, DMI48 will prompt the user to download any new updates. You can also go to Utilities menu on the main screen of DMI48, then click on ‘System Settings’ and ‘Check For Updates’ to manually launch the update program. If your computer is unable to find any available updates, it may be possible that your company firewall has blocked DMI48 from accessing our servers. Please contact DMI to receive assistance software updates directly or to receive assistance in setting up your firewall.
